When former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre came down with slight tendinitis in his throwing shoulder last June during the team's final passing camp it hardly raised an eyebrow in Wisconsin.
But when Eagles coach Andy Reid admitted last week that he was shutting Donovan McNabb down for the last three days of his team's final passing camp because of the same minor malady well it was all anybody could talk about in Philadelphia.

The Flyers made just a small ripple in the July 1 free agent pool signing versatile forward Glen Metropolit to a two-year $2 million contract and defenseman Ossi Vaananen to a one-year deal worth $1 million.
The Flyers also re-signed defenseman Randy Jones to a two-year deal worth $2.75 million a season and enforcer Riley Cote to a three-year deal worth $550000 per year.
The signings pushed the Flyers about $1 million over the salary cap. The Flyers can rectify the situation by putting defenseman Derian Hatcher and his $3.5 million salary on the long-term injury list or they can shed salary through a trade.
